Sadly, it was three losses from three games over the weekend.

The A grade headed to Ingle Farm for the second round of the T20 competition and took it up to competition giants Ingle Farm but fell eight balls short of victory.

We were defending 4/125, which we’d made on a two-paced deck, with Alex Cotter top scoring with 49. Mitch Dearing was unbeaten on 41.

In reply, the contest was even stevens by the 15-over mark with Ingle Farm needing 43 off the last five overs, with Liam Beazleigh providing a highlight with his figures after his first three overs 2/10.

The change of bowling end brought about a change of pace from the home side and they barrelled down the target with some big hitting finishing the contest.

At Main Oval, we took on Golden Grove’s A grade side and were never in the match.

We made 9/77 with Dom De Ruvo (15), Daniel Tanti (10) and Matt Claughton (10) each reaching double figures.

Don’t forget about this weekend’s social night – our first big get together of the season. Wear something Red to commemorate the passing of the great South Australian icon, West End.

The Brumbies chased the score five wickets down in 15 overs with Claughts taking two scalps and Matt Knox enjoying knocking over Brad Anderson.

The D grade travelled to North Pines and leaked 266 runs, which was always going to be a hard task to chase, even on the home side’s postage stamp oval (or ours…). We ended up scoring 176.

Check out our membership options, or pay your subs to be eligible to win them back in this Saturday night’s raffle.
