With two matches in an interesting position, the TOSers have it all before them when play resumes on Saturday, while the C grade had an easy victory.
The A grade went to Old Scotch with both teams aiming for a spot in the top four and after some strong early batting Jarryd Furnell, captaining for the match, rolled through the opposition.
Josh Southwell took his second wicket to have the home side 4/149 and he opened the gate for our premier spinner to hook his claws into the opposition.
Furnell befuddled the opposition and took five of the last six wickets to have Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch, Scotch dismissed for 196.
Our confidence was rocked early as we lost four wickets for just 29 runs and the task at hand became that little bit tougher.
Tim Viner-Smith (18*) joined Ali Forwood (30*) on a hat-trick ball and survived to form a solid rear-guard action that took us to 4/66 at stumps. The early session will be crucial for both sides on Saturday.
In the B grade, we lost the toss and bowled on a slow, flat pitch and had Fulham in all sorts before we let them get away with the game.
Todd Watt continues to impress with three wickets, while Dom DeRuvo, who would have been excited to get ball in hand, took two scalps and we had Fulham 6/122 at tea.
Some poor fielding and some dropped catches, combined with some big hitting, saw the home side get to 8/239 before Sam MacMillan (four wickets) finished off the tail in the 62nd over.
With 255 the target, Matt Bailey (14*) and Alex Cotter (6*) negotiated the final 10 overs to have us 0/23 at stumps.
The C grade had an easy victory over Mawson Lakes with the old fox Keith Hooker and the C grade pig (meant with all due respect) Matt Knox leading the way.
Mawson Lakes batted first and made just 68 with Hooker taking 4/19, while Liam Edwards and Knox took two each as six Lakers made either a duck or one.
After two early wickets, Harrison Varley (27*) and Jace Morgan (31*) took us past the score with little worry.
This weekend: A grade v Scotch (Scotch), B grade v Fulham (Fulham), C grade v Woodville South (Gawler River), D grade v Peninsula Pirates (Blakeview).
