With his 12th run on Saturday, Tim Viner-Smith became only the fourth player in the Trinity Old Scholars Cricket Club history to score 3000 runs.
The innings didn’t have as much of an impact as TVS might have liked, dismissed soon after for 21, but it was a significant milestone, nonetheless.
A three-time premiership captain with four titles in total, TVS has an average of 33.07, the highest of anyone to pass 3000 runs.
He joins current coach Ali Forwood (3577 @ 32.82), current captain Eythan Barraclough (3415 @ 26.68) and another former captain in Alex Cotter (3253 @ 27.57) in attaining this milestone.
Rolling into fifth place on our all-time honour board is Tom Krieg (2556 @ 34.08).
TVS’ run tally includes three hundreds (highest score 110) and 17 50s and was achieved in 121 innings across 120 matches.
He was the first club member to achieve life membership via playing 100 games.
Congrats on another great milestone with our club, legend.
