Welcome to 2019 and the second half of the season, TOSers.

There’s a bit on the line as we return for the final half of the season.

The A grade are right in the hunt for a finals berth, while our other teams have plenty to play for as we shore up positions in our relevant grades.

On Saturday, the A grade returned to two-day action after ending its T20 run earlier in the week.

Batting first at Reynella, we put a decent score of 233 on the board.

Coach Ali Forwood led the way with 67 at a pace that had the opposition on its toes, but also set a good platform for the remainder of our innings.

Contributions right down the order from Brad Cameron (30), Eythan Barraclough (23), Tim Viner-Smith (20), Mitch Dearing (42) and Austin Smith (22) ensured we put a defendable target on the board.

The team will return to Reynella this weekend, minus an injured Alex Cotter, to seek a win that will keep us in third spot, one game ahead of our opponent and the dog fight between teams in places four to seven on the ladder.

At St Peter’s, our B grade batted first in what was a critical game.

We were dismissed for 127 with skipper Grady Hudd making 55.

The home side maintained the ascendancy, despite losing a wicket before a run was scored, and they were 3/96 at stumps.

Night at the Dogs

We’re just under a week away from our next big social event – A Night At The Races.
We’re heading to Angle Park for the night and for $35 you get entry, all-you-can-eat buffet and a FREE drink.
It’s going to be a great night out and a new fundraiser for our club.

This week: A grade v Reynella (Away), B grade v St Peter’s (Away), C grade v Pembroke (Away).
