The TOS A grade are chasing critical points as the season heads to the wire and will be seeking an outright when play resumes at Waldeck Oval this Saturday.
Bowling, the boys knocked over Pulteney OS relatively easily after their early batsmen gave a little resistance.
Mitch Dearing and Jarryd Furnell got some wickets and we were on our way.
By the end of the day we were 67 runs ahead and Dan Elvin had knocked up a half-century as eight wickets fell in pursuit of quick runs.
The B grade travelled to Woodville South and their match is interestingly poised – we dismissed them for 129 and we’re 4/61 in pursuit.
In the C grade, it was a tale of two players with Anthon Hill (103) and Alex Clayton (6/13) dominating the day.
Batting first against Mawson Lakes, we made 5/241 off our 40 overs, with Matt Knox opening up with 67.
Runs and wickets fell quickly and then Hill came in at five and blitzed the Lakers.
In reply, the visitors made it to 34 before losing their first wicket and then were dismissed by Claytron and Scott Lee (3/23) to be all out for 70.
To the women’s game and the ladies came up against a red-hot Kensington, going down by 66 runs – falling well short of the opposition’s 2/126.
On February 24, we’re hosting our quiz night fundraiser and it’s time to nominate your teams.
To do so, speak to Docs and get something happening, it should be a great night.
