This Sunday will be a special day in TOS history as our women’s side debut – playing Adelaide Uni at Waldeck from 3.10pm.
We’ve got great numbers to start the season and a training session and get-together will be held this Thursday night from 6.30pm at the school.
The club is still seeking more players for the first part of the season, six games, so if you’re interested, or know someone who might be, contact us via Facebook, or contact Adrian Zorich (0422 729 911).
On to news from the weekend’s matches and the A grade face a challenging St Iggies total of 253 on the second day of their match.
Mitchell Dearing led from the front with 3/62 off 24 overs on Saturday, while Moe Walker, up a grade, also took three wickets.
Jarryd Furnell is making early claims for the association bowling trophy with another four wickets.
In the B grade, the boys would have been disappointed to be dismissed for 230, with plenty of guys getting starts.
Top score went to Wep Winning (41), with Brad Matters (36) and Daniel John(32) contributing.
However, Hope Valley now finds themselves in a tough position, being 4/33 (wickets to Matters, Ryan Roberts and Jack Millar – on debut for the club).
The C grade received a forfeit from Hectorville and will now focus on their next match at home to Modbury.
Finally, congratulations to one of our greatest clubmen, Eythan Barraclough, who became just the fourth player at the club to reach the 100-game milestone.
The skipper is an absolute champion of the club on and off the field and we’re delighted he’s reached life member status.
See you at training, TOSers.
